Statistics: Russian retail gasoline prices rise 0.7% in June
MOSCOW, Jul 25 (PRIME) – Gasoline retail prices rose 0.7% on the month in Russia in June, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement on Thursday.
Diesel fuel prices went up 0.1% on the month.
In October 2018, the Energy Ministry, the Federal Antimonopoly Service and 10 large oil companies signed agreements to fix fuel prices until April 2019 and raise domestic fuel sales by 3% on the year in the period. On April 5, the government prolonged the agreements until the end of June without any significant changes.
In 2019, Russia started the final stage of a tax reform in the oil industry. The reform envisages a mechanism aimed at holding down fuel prices on the domestic market while the fuel tax reform is finalized.
